„Algae? It’ s a colour“ is an installation with an Aquarium on the artists eye height, reduced to the minimum of living nature, Cyanobacteria. On the Display left and right beside it, are dimensional steps in pictures which show different positions on the importance of cyanobacteria and their influence on life.

Ritzing is a place at the Austrian countryside, like many, where the Natural Historic Museum of Vienna explores Stromatolithes. Stromatolithes are fossil remains of sediments from Cyanobacteria, they are the oldest proof of life on the planet.

Satellitepictures from Cyanobacteria which show their global influence (Project PACE of NASA), and an electronic microscope picture of the Orguell meteorite where a NASA scientist identified Cyanobactieria.
