The Colors Of Animals
Almost humans in costumes.
The title: „The Colors of Animals“ is lend from Sir Edward Bagnall Poultons book, from 1890, „The Colours of Animals“ and is an ongoing photographic series which discuss the picture of domestic animals in daily life, breeding and selection through humans.
Due to the use of colored lights, animal bodies get visually modulated by the artist, abstracted and enhanced like timeless portraits of Comic-Superheroes. The photographs become graphical, the colors construct a new surface and manipulate the quality of perception of the animal body.
